INSTRUCTIONS to Our Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over Our Commonwealth of Australia, or in his absence, to Our Lieutenant-Governor or the Officer for the time being administering the Government of Our said Commonwealth. Given at Our Court at Saint James’s this [Twenty-ninth] day of [October] 1900, in the Sixty-fourth year of Our Reign.
Now know ye that We have thought fit to constitute, order, and declare, and do by these presents constitute order, and declare, that there shall be a Governor General and Commander in Chief (hereinafter called the Governor General) in and over Our Commonwealth of Australia (hereinafter called Our said Commonwealth), and that the person who shall fill the said office of Governor General shall be from time to time appointed by Commission under Our Sign Manual and Signet. We do hereby reserve to Ourselves Our heirs and successors, full power and authority from time to time to revoke, alter, or amend these Our Letters Patent as to Us or them shall seem meet.
Commission passed under Royal Sign Manual and Signet, appointing the Right Honorable Lord Tennyson, K.C.M.G., to be Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of the Commonwealth of Australia.

Commonwealth of Australia Gazette Tuesday 2nd February 1960 under Her Royal Sign Manual and the Royal Great Seal of the Commonwealth of Australia appoint William Morrison, Viscount Dunrossil.
Letters Patent constituting the office of Governor-General, 29 October 1900 has never been changed therefore this Commission, Gazetted on the 2nd February 1960 minus the Signet has NO Crown and Constitutional Authority. Therefore from this date 2nd February 1960 forward there is NO Royal Assent to any Acts as this Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief has NO Crown and Constitutional Authority.

Salary of Governor-General = pounds. each senator and each member of the House of Representatives = pounds. payable to the Queen = pounds. Ministers of State = pounds.
Section 3—Salary of Governor-General
There shall be payable to the Queen out of the Consolidated Revenue fund of the Commonwealth for the salary of the Governor-General, an annual sum which, until the Parliament otherwise provides, shall be ten thousand pounds. The salary of a Governor-General shall not be altered during his continuance in office.

Section 42—Oath or affirmation of allegiance
Every senator and every member of the House of Representatives shall before taking his seat make and subscribe before the Governor-General, or some person authorised by him, an oath or affirmation of allegiance in the form set forth in the schedule to this Constitution.
Section 46—Penalty for sitting when disqualified
Until the Parliament otherwise provides, any person declared by this Constitution to be incapable of sitting as a senator or as a member of the House of Representatives shall, for every day on which he so sits, be liable to pay the sum of one hundred pounds to any person who sues for it in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Section 48—Allowance to members:
Until the Parliament otherwise provides, each senator and each member of the House of Representatives shall receive an allowance of four hundred pounds a year, to be reckoned from the day on which he takes his seat.

Section 66—Salaries of Ministers
There shall be payable to the Queen, out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Commonwealth, for the salaries of the Ministers of State, an annual sum which, until the Parliament otherwise provides, shall not exceed twelve thousand pounds a year.
